Fundraisers

The Wreaths Across America story began in 1992 when Worcester Wreath Company (a for-profit commercial business from Harrington, Maine) began a tradition of placing wreaths on the headstones of our Nation’s fallen heroes at Arlington National Cemetery during the holidays.

In 2008 over 300 locations held wreath laying ceremonies in every state, Puerto Rico and 24 over seas cemeteries.  Over 100,000 wreaths were placed on veterans graves.  Over 60,000 volunteers participated. The message of Remember, Honor and Teach and the importance of honoring each fallen serviceman as an individual is stressed.

The RWC Group ID is VARWC001

Please be sure to enter our Group ID #, which is: VA RWC 001 when contributing on-line at their web-site. More information will also be available at our membership meetings where we will also be taking donations to send in a bulk donation.

Saturday, December 10, 2011 is the scheduled date for the trucks to caravan down to Arlington National Cemetery. They welcome volunteers to come place wreaths at the selected sections. If you would like to take one of the wreaths to be placed at a specific gravesite there at Arlington, please feel free to do so.
