The Republican Women of Clifton (RWC) will award a $1,000 scholarship (1st Place), $100 (2nd Place), and $50 (3rd Place) to three college bound seniors who best express their viewpoints on the 2018 Essay topic:
The First Amendment and American College Campuses: College students are often attacked for expressing political views that differ from those prevailing on campus. Are speech codes on college campuses threatening students' "Freedom of Speech"? Discuss and support y our position.
Essay Contest Particulars:
Deadline: Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Midnight
Length: 500-800 words
Submission: Must be made on-line. After completing all information, click "Submit".
*Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
*Senior in high school
*Demonstrated leadership qualities in and out of school
*Relevant civic, community and volunteer service
*Attendance at a Fairfax County or Prince William County high school (public, private or home school)
*Content of the essay

The RWC is a political club formed in 2006 to promote the effectiveness of women in the cause of good government and encourage the candidacy of Republican women for public office, educate its members on current political topics and promote the principles of the Republican Party.
