As Democrats get perilously close to the 60 votes that will allow them to shut off debate and ram through a Washington takeover of our health care, Virginia is becoming a more and more important battleground. In the end, the future of our health care may depend on Senator Jim Webb, and that means it may depend on you.

Please click here to call Senator Webb’s office today and tell him to vote NO on all procedural motions to help pass Harry Reid’s new health care bill.

Writing yesterday in the Daily News Record, Sen. Webb said: “I have yet to decide whether I will support final passage of the bill.”

We need to help him decide—and decide to oppose not just the bill, but also the key procedural motions that will shut off debate and pave the way for it to pass.

Yesterday Senator Webb also pointed out that he has voted with Republicans on six major amendments, usually being one of only two Democrats, along with Ben Nelson from Nebraska, to do so.

His biggest concerns are the enormous Medicare Advantage cuts in the bill. In Webb’s words:

“I voted five times against proposed cuts to Medicare due to my concerns about taking half a trillion dollars out of that system at a time when the pool for primary Medicare is about to expand with the retirement of those in the Baby Boom generation. I am a long-time supporter of Medicare Advantage programs which have, in my view, greatly improved services in rural areas of Virginia, and I did not want to see cuts to benefits or services.”

These huge Medicare cuts will not be removed from the bill, because they are the primary funding mechanism for the vast new bureaucracies Democrats want to create to second-guess and oversee our doctors and hospitals.

Please click here to call Senator Webb’s office today and tell him to keep his promise to oppose Medicare Advantage cuts by voting NO on all procedural motions to help pass Harry Reid’s new health care bill.

In the end this whole year-long effort to take over our health care may come down to what Sen. Jim Webb decides to do. Please call him today.

Thank you and thanks for everything you do to protect our prosperity.
