You’ll have to drive a smaller car,
Your gasoline he’ll ration.
Building codes from California will
Become the height of fashion.

You’ll have to give up your comfort,
Your lifestyle and your car.
(He plans to take your doctor next,
But he’ll blame that on some czar.)

Costs of everything will rise –
Transportation, food and more.
And who’ll be hit the hardest?
Why, the rurals and the poor.

But the Dems will see that you and “the poor”
Aren’t down by the same amounts.
Waxman-Markey takes what you’ve got left
And puts it in their accounts!

Then Obama gives carbon offsets
To unions and fat cats –
Pollution permits for companies
That donate to Democrats!

Dems say it’ll be raining green jobs
But they don’t tell you the cost.
For every green job created,
Two and a half other jobs are lost.

Spain went this route and discovered
Each green job was a pain.
Its subsidy of $800,000 sent
That rain in Spain mainly down the drain!

Meanwhile our dwindling oil supplies
Endanger national security.
The military runs on oil, so
We’ll be less safe, that’s a surety.

But they say we’ve got to save the planet,
Status Quo is the Road to Perdition.

CO2 is not a pollutant;
It can’t cause climate change.
Warming and cooling are natural cycles,
