Many of us attended the Virginia Republican convention in Richmond in May and had the opportunity to hear an incredible speech from an amazing young man. Now only a month later, we have an awesome opportunity to see him again — in our own backyard! On July 4th, lets all make this a must-do event, and start our day at noon, at Centreville’s Bull Run park at the 38th Annual National Conservative Fourth of July Soiree. Adnan Barqawi is a 2009 graduate of Virginia Tech where he served as a Cadet Colonel of the Cadet Corps. His stirring pro-America speech at the Republican Party of Virginia’s Convention brought down the house with multiple standing ovations.
The story of Adnan’s legal immigration to the United States from Kuwait touched almost every heart. Contrary to what some in the media and academia would have you believe, America is still a beacon of liberty and opportunity to the world. See link to Cadet Colonel Barqawi’s speech at the Virginia convention: Part I | Part II. This year’s festivities will be held from 12:00PM to 4:30PM at Bull Run Regional Park in Centreville, Virginia, just west of Washington off I-66. Each year hundreds of conservatives gather to celebrate our nation’s independence with barbeque food, a patriotic band, and plenty of entertainment for the children including a petting zoo. Toward the end of this event, we’ll still have a chance to rush over to Clifton to march in their parade!
